I had the opportunity to interview one of Young Thug’s artist that goes by the name of Lil Duke. Lil Duke has many features with Young Thug and have been on the scene with him for quite a while. Lil Duke in his own rite has caused a stir in rap music and is serving up the music scene with his own rhymes.

Lil Duke is a native of South side Atlanta, Georgia zone 3 where he grew  up listening to Atlanta based artists. Lil Duke started going to the studio to lay down some bars and create hooks. He was once a member of Quality Control and PeeWee Longway’s group MPA (Money Pounds Ammunition).

Lil Duke was well-positioned as an artist to make noise in the streets along side with his friend Young Thug in which he later sign to his YSL Label (Young Slim Life/Young Stoner Life).

Lil Duke spawned his most recent mixtape titled Uber in late Spring 2016 that has bangers such as Get It Up featuring Young Thug, Change Your Life Featuring Anthony Hamilton, Do You Remember Featuring Lil Durk, Know Ima Get It Featuring Lil Yachty.

Lil Duke spoke highly about a friend and mentor OG Troop whose life was cut short. “Everybody knew and loved Troop. He was always smiling and kept people up. Troop taught me a lot. Although I am already a man, but he taught me how to be a MAN. Everybody loved him, his death was a hard pill to swallow”.

During the interview I asked Lil Duke what advice would he give an aspiring music artist, and he replied “Work hard and keep doing what you want to do. People will notice you”.

Lil Duke has been touring in the States doing shows and working on projects in which one is a duo mixtape with Young Thug.
